Each course takes a total of one day, or is offered as a two-day safari, giving a chance to travel around the 1278 ha. sheep and cattle station, practise new skills, and camp out at the bush campsite overnight. All levels of ability are catered for and family groups are welcome.

There is a limit of ten vehicles per safari.

A purpose-built off road course has been constructed on Waipari Station, although training courses can be held in other places by arrangement.

One-day courses are currently being used by many commercial users to meet O.S.H. requirements.

•  A maximum number of 8 people is recommended per course.

•  Travel to sites other than Waipari Station, and accommodation, if necessary will be minimal additional expenses.

•  Written confirmation of the booking is required a minimum of one month in advance of the course.

•  Individuals need to bring their own lunches.

Training is divided into four modules, with a certification exam paper at the finish.
